Happy Mail from Craft Junction

Hi all!

It has been over a month since I posted anything at all! Life has gotten super busy, especially since I am making a gazillion of the apron recipe albums (see Other Projects so you can get started too!). Anyhow...here is a quick haul video I filmed a while ago from some paper supplies I received from craftjunction.com. I checked and even if you can't find the same paper collections at their website you can find them in various places in google :).

Enjoy!

Valentines Day Mini Card

Hi all,
I have a really quick and super cute mini card for Valentine's Day but works well for other purposes too. You will see it DOES NOT have any pinks or reds...hmm? Well, men are not the fondest of those colors, and the purpose of Valentines Day is to share your appreciation with a loved one right? So why not avoid the pink? :)...here goes:

Recipe

  • Love you a Latte Cricut Cartridge
  • Pebbles Family Ties patterned paper
  • Fiskars Love you a Latte Stamp Set
  • Bazzil colors used: Candy Necklace and Sour Lemmon

Personalized wood chopping board - Apron Shaped Tutorial Extra

Hello all!
I am concluding the Apron Shaped Tutorial with a little bit of an extra tutorial. Personalizing a wood chopping board by woodburning the sentiment used on the last page of the Apron Stand. I find that this could be very useful since you can substitute the board for a wooden spoon, or anything else your heart desires.

Recipe

  • Woodburning pen (available at Joanns, Michaels and Hobby Lobby as well as Amazon, anywhere between $7 and 14 dollars full price)
  • Vinyl
  • A sharpie
  • Wood surface (chopping board or wooden spoon)

Apron Shaped Recipe Organizer and Stand Tutorial Part 3

Happy Tuesday!

Today I bring Part 3. Today we do the stand and cinching on the album. So we are one step closer!!

If you just landed on this page, you may want to start at: http://lepaperstudio.blogspot.com/2014/01/apron-shaped-recipe-organizer-and-stand.html

For today you will need one more cut: you will need to cut another solid cardstock front (or back) page for the back part of your stand. I cut mine using pattern paper since this is what I wanted to show. Also, because I unnecessarily added some chipboard to the front (really not needed, I don't even know why I did this) I had to cut an extra front piece in green. You will see in the video.

So, about score lines for the stand:
If you are using a 7" x 11": you will need to score at: 4", 5.5 " and 7"
If you are using a 7" x 12" you will need to score at: 4.5", 6" and 7.5"

That's about it!

Apron Shaped Recipe Organizer and Stand Tutorial Part 2

Hi all!

This is part 2 of the video series! So, because I filmed part 1.5 after part 2, I had to edit the video a lot to cut out some of the redundancy...Warning: video may be choppy at times.

If you just landed on this page, you may want to start at: http://lepaperstudio.blogspot.com/2014/01/apron-shaped-recipe-organizer-and-stand.html  and then see part 1.5: http://lepaperstudio.blogspot.com/2014/01/apron-shaped-recipe-organizer-and-stand_11.html

Join me tomorrow for Part 3, where I put the final pieces of the skeleton together, bind it and create the stand part for the album. Tuesday will be Part 4 of the video, which will be a short video and blog post including all the free printables! Finally Wednesday, will be the final reveal day. Almost there! There will be an extra posting on Thursday, with step by step instructions on etching (or woodburning) a matching cutting board which completes the gift! :)
